To cite court decisions in text, give the case name, in italics, and the year. In the list of references, give the case name (without italics), the source reporting the decision and the cpourt name and date. See the examples below:

As an in text citation:

Lessard v. Schmidt (1972) or (Lessard v. Schmidt, 1972)

In list of references:

Lessard v. Schmidt, 349 F. Supp. 1078 (E.D. Wis. 1972)
